that negative feedback in and of itself does not
mean the user is irresponsible. I've often
encountered many users who have negative feedback
as a direct result of bad buyers who retaliate in
anger for receiving a justified negative
feedback. Ie, they refuse to pay after a
reasonable time like 12 days or broke off all
communications, and thus the seller left a
negative feedback.
Does having three or more of these type of
negative feedbacks mean the user is bad? IMHO no.
Also ebay doesn't make it any easier for
investigating users feeback by creating a link
(I've suggested to the helpdesk many times
already) directly displaying ONLY the negative
feedback comments for a user. Sure you can say,
this user has over 100 positives, they seem
trustworthy. Maybe, but if they do have
negatives, I for one want to know how they dealt
with it and what kind of situation it was.
Wouldn't you also want to know this, without
browing 30+ pages of comments? Sheesh. Honestly
the effort just is not made whatsoever on ebays
part by adding the bloody html code for a new
page and a link! If you also think have a direct
link is important, ask customer service to create
one. Maybe if enough people speak out, something
will happen.
As a seller myself, I've dealt with so many
deadbeat buyers and sellers it is infuriating how
ebay refuses to institute a stiff financial
penalty. IMO, regarding buyers it is like credit
cards, if you cannot pay for something now, don't
bid/buy in the HOPES YOU MIGHT BE ABLE TO pay
later. It is one thing to have the money and you
use a credit card as a preferred form of payment,
but it isn't the same when you DO NOT have the
money to begin with. It is asinine behavior like
this that makes ebay unpleasant for all bidders
and buyers alike. How utterly irresponsible. |
