precaution.  This household product is very 
effective in killing bacteria and viruses on flat 
surfaces.  So it wouldn't hurt spraying it on 
packages and its contents (maybe not directly on 
cels), as an extra precaution and a peace of 
mind.  Notice the "effectiveness on killing 
bacteria/viruses on flat surfaces", as there is 
no official report about its effectiveness on 
open air environment.  But within an enclosed 
small area (such as small room, bathroom, etc), 
it might work depending on the amount that you 
spray.  Use with common sense. When in doubt read 
the back label and/or call the 800 included.
