To answer the first question: I'm a big fan of
Microsoft's Image Composer, even over Photoshop
(which everyone else seems to love). It has a lot
of versatility, much less than Photoshop, but I
think it's more valuable for being *MUCH* more
user-friendly. It can do transparent writing and
images. Every once in a while, I use Photoshop to
do something difficult to do with Image Composer.
But as soon as I'm done with that one thing, I
put my work back in Image Composer to finish it.
As for my comment on the watermarks. . . I admit
I keep a file of other people's cel scans on my
computer. (For 100% NON-PUBLIC use only. ^_^;)
Often, I'll even download new copies of scans I
already have when the owner updates their
watermark, just to keep the info connected to the
scan up to date. That's why I made a watermark
that included my URL, because I like it in other
people's watermarks. ^_^
The bandwidth theft part of it never occured to
me either. But then (with the exception of the
front page) I generally completely change all URLs
and image names every time I change my page. . .
So if someone were stealing my bandwidth, they
probably wouldn't be doing it for long. (Or at
least not easily. ^_^)
