I totally understand about not wanting to jinx 
that cel.  ;-)

I don't think it sounds bad to not want your cel 
reproduced.  I'd say that's a valid concern.

Rather than bother with watermarks, I use these 
two methods to discourage image 
stealing/reproduction:
1) Only post mediocre scans.  If somebody really 
wants a better image, I can e-mail it to them.
2) Only buy mediocre cels.  LOL!!!  God bless my 
cheap tastes (in all but women!).
