Let me remind you what was said:
Yip, he's in France. I too have not heard many
good things about collecters from France. Sad,
isn't it? But it's true: if you feel even the
slightest bit hesitant to order from someone,
DON'T. Even if they claim to have a hugely
rare, wishlist cel... It's not worth the hastle
and headache when things go wrong.
Nowhere in this post does it say anything
against the nation of France or its people in
general. This was merely an answer to a
question. I was speaking about one particular
dealer that I have had problems with; and I have
also heard of deals gone wrong with other
dealers from France. This in no way slanders
the people of the country by trying to warn
other people before they do business with said
dealer and possibly others. I have nothing
personlly against France, though with my past
troubles with this dealer, I think other people
would like to know. If they have been out as
much money as I have---and many others---I would
be GLAD to know about the dangers of going to
business with them.
Though the thing with France was not my point.
My point was to remind EVERYONE that whenever
they take out an order with another person--
dealer or private collector--you are taking a
risk. There are different shades of this risk,
but it is still a risk in the end. Whether you
use the information you can gather about the
other person to decide whether or not the risk
is worth it is entirely up to you. |
