As lynxa pointed out, almost all recent anime
series and movies are CG-colored, which means that
the douga is the final stage of non-digital
production art.  If you want anything at all from
Fruits Basket, Chobits, Weiss Kreuz Gluhen,
Wolf's Rain, Saiyuuki, or practically any
other modern show, sketches is what you get.

In this case, though, not only is the show CG, but
the "sketch" I want to buy is an original drawing,
done by the character designer for use in an
artbook.  And it's ohhhhh, so gorgeous.  I put in
an order for it this morning -- now I just sweat
bullets until I hear back!

Almost wishing I'd never watched Rah Xephon
in the first place, heh...
