I am an English Literature teacher, and I just 
happen to enjoy Anime. One of my favorite shows 
is Card Captor Sakura. I don't watch it because I 
fantasize about molesting twelve-year-old girls. 
I simply happen to enjoy the show, and there is 
nothing perverted about that. In training to 
become a teacher, we are forced to confront this 
issue in Educational Psychology. What I gather 
from research is that the media has little to do 
with one's predisposition to sexual deviance. 
Most of these people have been shown to suffer 
from various problems, either frontal lobe 
damage, an abusive childhood, or a stifled sexual 
nature as an adolescent. As Evilminion said, 
having fantasies is a healthy outlet, whether it 
be violent or sexual in nature. I suggest that 
instead of worrying about this problem, you 
discuss this with your kid. Tell him/her how to 
be safe when out on their own so they will not 
fall prey to the real threat that lurks out 
there, instead of filling their heads with 
nonsense and telling them that every guy who 
watches shoujo anime is a pervy
