I never bid on something without reading the item
description. There's *SO* many times when the
picture doesn't say it all, even ignoring this
case where the picture has nothing to do with the
auction. Some things I've run into are:
-- Picture shows one magazine, opening bid is
100yen. Auction is actually for *10* magazines,
which would have been a fortune to ship.
-- Picture showed two items. Auction is actually
only for *one* of those two items. (The other is
in it's own auction.)
-- Picture showed a cel in fine condition. Details
reported the (very signifigant!) damage that had
occured to the cel after the picture was taken.
So, Japanese or English, it's really risky to bid
without reading the details first. ;;^_^;;
