I'm probably going to get obnoxious harping on 
this one cel, and I'm sure there are those out 
there who've already heard way too much about it 
from me.. ^^;
But I couldn't resist telling the story, since 
the opportunity has presented itself so nicely:

I'd just had a very, very bad day, in the 
process of which, I forgot entirely that Nick 
was due to update that very evening.  On coming 
home, I went down by the anime cel channel on 
IRC to gripe and moan and while I was there 
someone mentioned the Nick update.  

In my grumpiness, I figured I wouldn't even 
bother paying much attention to the update, but 
when the time came and people started mentioning 
areas in the process of being updated my 
curiosity was piqued and I headed on over to 
follow the update with everyone else.

At the time the CCS section was updated, I saw 
one cel I quite liked -- even though I've always 
promised myself I wouldn't collect CCS -- and I 
tossed an order Nick's way pretty quickly.  As 
the update continued I didn't see much else I 
was interested in...until the X cels started 
going up.

Much droolage ensued over the lovely X test 
hanken cels, but I figured a) I really didn't 
need to spend that much money, and b) even if I 
put an order in right that second I'd probably 
be about 40th in line. ^____^;

So I waffled and waited and the update was 
almost over...and in the end, I buckled, and 
threw in a token order.  I suppose it was 
probably only a couple minutes after the cel 
went up, but it -felt- like a wait.  I had no 
hope of getting the cel, but I figured I'd feel 
better about it if I at least -tried.- 

After a while, I got a letter from Nick telling 
me that I didn't get the CCS cel, and no word 
yet on the second email.

At this point, Asylum updated, and as a genuine 
sucker for Shishio, I ended up putting an order 
in for that one, figuring I might at least get -
something- that evening.

And in the end?  I got the confirmation from 
Nick saying that I -did- get the cel from my 
second order.  And I got the Shishio as well. :D

A bad day ended up turning around quite nicely.
