This time yesterday, I was looking over my cel
books and ferreting out items to sell off in order
to pay my Celga balance and a couple of dealers,
and bring home new cels... a tricky task, but all
in the cause of even lovelier cels.
Today...
Today our cats went in for their semi-annual
checkup, and everything went to hell. Steve, my
little buddy and the only cat I've ever met who
admits to understanding assorted human words
including his own name, was diagnosed with an
abdominal tumor the size of a baseball. Clive,
his magnificent pudding of a brother, received the
less dire but still worrisome assessment of a
heart murmur. After X-rays of the former and an
EKG of the latter, Steve is signed up for surgery
and Clive has an appointment with a kitty
cardiologist.
Now, to hubby and I, our cats are our kids. So
they're going to be getting the best medical
treatment possible, and anything at all that we
can do or have done to give them more happy time
with us, and we really couldn't care less how much
that costs.
However, I would like to ease the burden on the
family budget, and so I'm changing my cel sale
plans. I was in the process of marking items for
sale with a thumbnail border -- over the next
couple of days, I will instead remove the images
of the relatively small handful of cels and
sketches which I would truly rather never part
with, and everything else will be up for offers or
sale, including "coming soon" items which are
still on order in Japan.
I think this is as much compusure as I have in me
at the moment, so I'm going to log out now and go
cuddle with my cats. I'll post more info about
the offer period/cel sale once I get it going.
For now, I'm in no real shape to deal with much of
anything. Gomen... |
