Your post made me grin.  Anyone who'd write that 
anyone "overpaid" for something in a hobby like 
this, has never taken part in a live auction of 
art at a SF or media convention! Especially for 
art of characters/actors providing the 
major "lust/thrust" of the moment for the people 
bidding.  I have friends who paid almost $1000 
for paintings/sketches/gawdknowswhat that they 
can't resell now for $20!  

So, anyone who doesn't understand being at the 
mercy of one's fevered interests won't understand 
any reply you might make.  Best to just toss 
their mail into the same folder with the offers 
to enlarge your organs, give you a mortgage and 
get you some Xanax!
