Hi all,
I dont mean to post something off topic, but as
collectors who have to deal with shipping issues,
I would like your opinion.
I sold an item to someone overseas. This item was
in perfect condition when I shipped it.
Yesterday, I got an email saying it was damaged
and it was my fault for not telling him/her about
it beforehand... (huh?!) Well of course I was
deeply upset, so replied that it was not damaged
when I shipped it and asked for a scan. I also
asked if it was done in transit. This person
replied that it was not. This person did send a
scan.. but I can not prove it was the item I sold
him/ her from the angle. (this is not a cel mind
you) This person also offered to keep the item if
I sent some of the money back to him/her or they
would send it back to me. (with a full refund to
him/her) My choice. Sounds slightly fishy to me..
So my question is what would you do? This is the
first time I have had something of this nature
happen. If the item was truly damaged as this
person claims.. I do not want it back. Especially
considering I shipped it in excellent condition.
Your input is appreciated.
thank you,
Dustie
