Well... you can try going to Internet Options -- 
Privacy, which lets you change your general 
cookie settings.  The Edit button lets you 
specify cookie settings for specific sites.  
I've never used those options myself, but it 
might be what you're looking for.  (I have the 
forums under Restricted, but I stay logged in - 
not sure what settings I have that would be 
different than yours though...)
