The character designs looked like crap. BGC tv
series looked like Tenchi in Tokyo, no wait, Lain,
no, New Record of Lodoss War, no Sakura Wars, no
no I really mean YUA tv.... *frown* All of these
series practically all look the same. The
character designs were cookie cutter, clean but
without individuality that the older OVA series
and animes from that period characterized. Few
people can say they do NOT know who is Kenichi
Sonada (BGC OVAs, GunSmith Cats OVAs) or who is
Haruhiko Mikimoto (Macross DYRL, GunBuster, Orguss
02), mainly b/c their designs were highly
recognizable and beautiful to boot!
