After all, those aren't the lines we saw on-
screen. 

Ah, but the faded lines and the chipped paint 
aren't what we saw on screen either.  :)
I am thinking about having professional 
restoration done on one of my favorite cels- 
thanks for the link.

As for the correction layer- I really dislike 
multilayer cels so I would opt for restoration 
instead.
