True, it technially SHOULDN'T lower the value.
But wht many people believe as myth eventully
omes true...if people think, myth or not, tati
lowers value...it will ^^;; Collectors are odd in
some respects...I know a lot of people who don't
like a ce touched after it's come from
production. They feel that restoration removes
the originality of it. After all, those aren't
the lines we saw on-screen. I can undersand it,
in a way...i's like having a painting restored.
It looks prettier, but something in the back of
your mind keeps saying "But those aren't the
original artists lines"...it's freaky, in tht we
like our cels pristine but many can't stand
having them "touched up". While it gains
aesthetic value, it loses production value. I
still cast my vote for having it done on another
layer...it's a win-win situation ^^
