The only cels I've been less than happy with and
then sought to sell or dispose of are ones which
I've compromised on telling myself "This is OK
its a relative bargain." I now never buy a cel
thinking its OK. Rather the criteria I use
is "See, Want, Must, Have, NOW!"
I'm not suggesting you go into debt or splurge
insane amounts on individual cels (that of course
is relative to each collector's financial
ability). This is particular true for cels which
are just within the "reach of affordability".
This is different for everyone I acknowledge. But
I think that you can be clever how you spend your
cash.
If you compromise, sooner or later a nicer one
comes along and you end up selling the first.
Also your circumstances change. Certainly as many
collectors are students its important that they
have a budget but suddenly when afflicted by
real income often they end up "churning" an
entire collection to uprate it with more
expensive cels.
Then again I despair of picking a nice cel of
Ruri Hoshino or Asuka Langley up for anything
short of a liver.
