I guess I really don't have any favorite "look"
for anime, really, because I feel like the anime
style should reflect the work of the mangaka who
made the manga, and we all know manga style
differ infinitely in detail and design, and yet
different styles can all look appealing.
Of course, if the anime was not made from a
manga, it tends to copy from existing series,
which I don't hold against it. But I myself adore
individualistic designs, as anime can get very
old to watch when all of the characters look
alike (a problem plaguing some newer anime).
I myself never discount a series due to character
design...like I said earlier, the meaning of the
anime carries more value. I don't think an anime
should be labeled as bad just because it got
stuck with a bad character designer. To over-ride
the entire value of the anime like that...well,
it kinda makes me sad. It's shallow, in an odd
and indirect kind of way. Some of the most
beautiful comics I have ever read didn't really
have the greatest art...but that never changed
the fact that they were -GOOD-. You never know
what wonderful and beautiful things you might be
missing...
-Misha, who LIKES the Esca noses...they're
individual ;p |
