I have the whole story now.  This person is just 
being greedy and playing games.

No slam against you skaphrodite, I know you are 
just playing Devil's Advocate here.

About the only time I could see pulling an auction 
and immediately relisting like that is if the 
auction service had a glitch to prevent bidding or 
if you listed your item incorrectly (wrong name, 
etc.). As it was, this guy could have done great. 
 A few of us were ready to go to war over these 
(^_^), but now at least one or two of us are going 
to step aside.  It's a shame.
