I can't agree with you more. ~_~;;  At least, in 
regards to *most* of the American public. 
Thankfully, this board has a higher than average 
percentage of people who are able to roll their 
eyes and say something like you did instead of 
blindly going (*insert idiotic voice*) "COOL!" 
(*end idiodic voice*)

On the other hand, at least it's Akira and so 
(with apologies to Akira fans everywhere) at 
least you can't make the thing much worse. 9_9  
On the other hand, if they try to do Vampire 
Miyu. . . I'll be forced to curl up like a boiled 
shrimp. ;;O_O;;

BUT!!! I can say that if they were *careful* with 
it, someone could probably do a damn good live-
action Eatman! (The story type lends itself to 
being able to be played by live actors and since 
it's essentially a series of short stories, it 
also lends itself to being turned into a movie-
length plot without killing it.) If that happened 
(assuming the "damn good" part applied), wild 
horses wouldn't be able to keep me away from the 
theater!

But I don't trust Hollywood that far. ~_~;;
