Pitiful, isn't it??  What's really sick about it 
is I'd wager anyone who watched the original 
Akira with someone who knew a little about anime 
(just to explain the film conventions) could 
understand it and might even enjoy it, grossness 
and all.

Sad.  It runs right up there with colorizing the 
black and white classic films.  Bah.
