| Kind of an interesting statement, its morraly
wrong to buy bootlegs, but it isn't morally wrong
to swap / borrow them from friends?
At least hear I believe it is probably illegal to
do both! But in saying this the record / movie
companies make a profit on all blank media sold
anyway (as they claim it is used to copy real
programs, which they pay for). Yes that right
they get a cut from all blank media sold. So as
far as I can see the rea1 distributers make money
on it anyway. That is they have the best of both
worlds and I have very little sympathy for them,
they charge well over market rate for this sort
of thing. A good example is a Mononoke DVD costs
over $75 ($35 USD) and I can find it anywhere on
the net for only $19 USD (for a real one too! not
a bootleg). Now I know shipping of a single DVD
costs a lot less than $16 USD so just who is
being ripped off?
My suggestion is to only part with as much of
your hard earned money as you have to.
