If you look at some supply places you can see 
animator's lightboxes that have little um... 
sockets? coming out of them at the bottom or the 
top that correspond with a standard hole punch 
size.  I think the whole point of the hole 
punching is to keep it in place on the lightbox 
while the animator paints it.
