No one is discouraging you from requesting your
deputy service to ask questions for you. But
yes, some of us are encouraging you to do so
responsibly. Yes, YJ auctions has the "ask the
seller" feature, so it would be in your advantage
to use it when you deem it necessary. Just
please don't abuse it.
If you wish to use such a feature frequently,
sign up and get your own Yahoo! Japan ID and
account. Then you could ask the questions
yourself and use the deputy service only when
you're ready to bid. Because to pressure your
chosen deputy service to ask sellers questions
too often could hurt your relationship with that
service.
Deputy services will help you when they can, but
just don't expect them to serve you and only you
hand and foot. They have other customers whom
they need to serve as well. If your deputy
service agrees to ask a seller some questions for
you, that's great. If not, please accept such
refusal with grace and not rant about them not
serving their customers. That's entirely unfair.
PLEASE SEE THIS FROM THE P.O.V. OF THE D.S. ...
If you fully read my answer to your post on the
YJ forum (which I referred to you), you should
already know this:
Deputy services do not wish to offend or pester
YJ sellers by asking them too many questions.
Unlike you, the deputy services also have their
YJ auction ID ratings to protect. That means
that they may refuse to ask certain questions for
you since they're afraid that may hurt their
standing with other sellers and bidders.
But if the questions you want them to ask for you
are smart and specific to the auction, they
shouldn't have any reason to refuse... unless
they're too busy. In that case, there's nothing
anyone can do.
So please also keep these things in mind always.
Like I said, if you want to ask a lot of
questions and frequently, take the time and
commitment to get your own YJ ID and account.
No one here is trying to be difficult, but please
consider the concerns of other people.
Some deputy service folks have other real and
full-time jobs, and are only providing a deputy
service as a favor to the fans outside Japan. Of
course, they'll all try their best to satisfy
customers but don't expect too much from them in
certain cases.
Please be fair and moderate yourself. That's all
some of us wish to ask of you. |
