I think that if a question needs to be asked,
then it is part of the deputy's business to ask
it for you. However, I *very* much support the
"ask smart questions" angle of this. It's
pointless to bother your deputy to ask about
things that are covered in the item description,
and it's pointless to have your deputy constantly
asking for, say, shipping rates when you can
easily guess them yourself. (It's different if
you're talking a 12-volume manga set or a lot of
50 cels. . . But for your average 1 - 3 cel
auction, that's being a bother.)
And like with any online auction, you have to
give plenty of time for the seller to reply. When
I list things on Ebay, I'm usually astounded by
all the people who ask questions in the last half-
hour of the auction. Why not ask earlier? o_0 Who
says that I'm on watching the end of my auctions?
I sometimes don't. . . When working through a
deputy, keep in mind that once you want a question
asked, your message has to first make it to your
deputy, then from there to the seller, then back
to the deputy before it gets to you! I'd say 2-3
days *at least*. . . Heck, if an auction has only
a day left to go, I assume I wouldn't even be
able to get in touch with a deputy in time to get
it, much less ask a question.
