Just because you have an alternate opinion other
than glowering praise doesn't mean you're beng
disrespectful.
Secondly, sure set-up costs, equipment, and labor
are expensive for any business. But will the fees
decrease over time after the business starts to
make a profit? What is the actual percentage
markup?
Also, many people *DO* want to get lower priced
items from Yahoo Japan - that's the point of
shopping there in the first place. Not very many
people are looking at getting $100 cels from YJ
on a regular basis. The "deal* you get from the
exchange rate and availability is not only eaten
up, but exceeded by the fees you have to pay to
get the item in the first place.
Yes, they seem to have an excellent set-up and a
pretty convenient format, but I still feel that
in general, Deputy Services attempt to price
gauge simply because they can. On the other hand,
I *am* rather ignorant about the actual costs
involved with a Deputy Service, but it stands to
reason that there should be a less expensive way
of ordering internationally.
So, if you *REALLY* *REALLY* want the cel, doll,
pencil board, or whatever and can afford to pay
500% of what the item is worth - feel free to
fork over the cash. But the majority of us are
still left in the lurch.
