Heck, I grew up on dubs like Speed Racer, Star 
Blazers, Battle of the Planets, Captain Harlock 
and the Queen of a Thousand Years... by the time 
I got to college and Robotech hit the American 
airwaves, I was already well addicted to anime.  
*grin*

Now that I'm older still, and the "little things" 
like college loans, house down payment, car, 
wedding, and furniture are long taken care of, I 
have some extra cash to indulge my taste for 
anime DVDs and cels.

Of course, the fact that we both live almost 
entirely in jeans and free game-company t-shirts 
(the unofficial dress code of the videogame 
industry -- gotta love those tchatchkies!), cook 
most of our meals from scratch (ever so much 
cheaper than buying pre-made or eating out), and 
hate shopping with a passion may have something 
to do with WHY there's extra money... *grin*
