Hi Ack,
The comment about EMS being insured for only
500.00 is completely *wrong* - unless the sender
did not put extra insurance on it. While I know
you have not posted the name of who you
purchased the cel from, I'm making a bit of an
assumption based on previous comments you've
made. I won't name names though... but when they
ship, it's my understanding they insure packages
for the full value of cels purchased, unless
specifically requested *not* to.
I'd very very strongly urge you to contact
someone in *charge* at the postal inspectors.
Don't let them try and pull any kind of crap
like this. If you have just been speaking to the
people at your local PO, they probably don't
know you can insure the packages over the base
of 500.00 - *ESPECIALLY* the carriers. Heh, I
work as a carrier and am astounded by how little
the other carriers know, considering I've been
there 5 months or so, and some of them have been
there *years*. Often times, the clerks at the
counters are no better.
If you yield no results by talking to the postal
inspectors, I can get additional phone numbers
for you to call. Just *don't* let them try and
tell you that you are only going to get 500.00
for your "lost" package. -_-;;; If you need
further assistance, you can email me at
shizurachan@yahoo.com and I'll get you some more
specific info. I'll be crossing my fingers for
you in hopes that the package shows up - I can't
believe they "lost" an EMS package. O_o;;; |
