Don't wait. I have in my "fine print" that the
payment must be received within fifteen days. It
really is ridiculous. . . one *month*??? Give me
a break everyone. If the person is on extended
vacation then they knew about it in advance! They
should have either A) contacted you beforehand or
B) NOT BID! If they're having a crisis at home,
they should contact you, make a schedule to send
payment and keep it. If the crisis is bad enough
to be continuously ongoing for *three weeks* to
the point that they can't even go to the post
office, then it should be the least of *THEIR*
worries if they lose the item.
Now it's true that according to Ebay, if you made
a deal with this person on an auction that did
not meet the reserve, you can't go to them if
you're having problems. HOWEVER, since there was
no transation completed (according to Ebay) there
were no charges to you other than the listing
fee, and there is no way either of you can leave
feedback for each other. So this person can't
leave you negative feedback or complain to Ebay
and you're not out extra money.
I say forget it. Three weeks is more than enough
time to send a payment if the person really
intended to (and could afford to) send a payment.
I would put the cel back up for auction and put
them on your bidding blacklist.
