First, I collect only from what I have seen. But 
so do a lot of other people. Also, I will always 
be drawn to a cel that I can place immediately 
and is from a scene I like. But that still 
doesn't narrow things down much. So within that 
group of cels, how do I pick a favorite?

1. COSTUME! Forget ultra-closeups, what I usually 
want to see is costume! ^_^  Within cels of a 
charcter I like, I'm a lot faster to buy ones 
that show flowing capes or swirling gowns, and 
the like.

2. Pose. I like poses that are not static 
looking. Animation is all about motion and I like 
to be able to "see" the motion in my cel even as 
it stays still. Below is a wonderful cel I got 
from our very own Yann that remains one of my 
favorite Nightwalker cels.

3. Interaction. In the same vein as #2, I like to 
see characters interacting with each other, or 
other things. It just makes a cel more interesting
than if one character is standing there all alone.

That's basically the ticket. ^_^  But those are 
still rules that are not carved in stone. I have 
cels that I like a lot which break all those 
rules at once! ^_^;
