I heard CNN reports indicating that all 24,000 
employees at the Pentagon were safely evacuated. 
I find that hard to believe, and obviously all 
news stations are reminding viewers that these 
are preliminary reports which might contain 
inaccuracies. . . But at least it bodes well.

My friend is all right, thank God. She can't get 
through on any phone lines, but she e-mailed. She 
picked today to visit uptown. I think I just 
*might* be able to concentrate at work today. . .
