Specific groups may have been targeted but 
inevitably innocent people will die.  If I was an 
Afghan I'd feel pretty sick. ie. The agressor is 
the US & the aid giver is also the US.  If we 
cared so much we would not be destroying their 
country and forcing them to flee for their lives.

Is our primary objective really to flush out a 
bad regime for the benefit of Afghans?  If so why 
did we have to wait till now?  

I do understand that Taliban treat their ppl very 
badly.  Lets not forget that some responsiblity 
for that current situation lies with Cold War 
politics.

Let's not disguise the primary objective of this 
war.. it is to fight against terrorism & a war of 
retribution.

Also it is illegal under international to 
interfere in the internal affairs of another 
country.  History has shown too often that 
civilising missions are rather suspect.

While I am utterly shocked at the WTC incident & 
utterly condemn it I feel that USA should not be 
fighting a war of retribution.  I do not believe 
in doing nothing & letting terrorism grow but i 
can't help but think this will do little to stop 
terrorism.
