Marcia, if you ever decide to look past all the
verbage and concentrate on what are obviously
genuine concerns among more than just a few cel
collectors, I hope you might consider some of my
suggestions once again:
[1] Do away with the $2.50 fee and increase your
starting bids by that much. Those who are
willing to pay for the cels then (starting bids
of $7.50 instead of $5.00 are still incredibly
low and your sales shouldn't be seriously
affected).
[2] If you want to charge a higher shipping fee,
then go ahead and do so. At least, bidders
should know exactly what they are paying for
instead of having to second-guess your ambiguous
fees or paying for fees that do not involve them
(such as non-PayPal bidders paying for PayPal
charges).
[3] No one should blame you for not knowing
enough about the backgrounds and such. However,
if it's within your power to ask your distributor
for that information or to accept the opinions of
more knowledgeable cel collectors, letting your
bidders know such information on the auction
descriptions would be the right thing to do. How
can anyone argue against this?
[4] For the most part, I think that your auctions
are still good deals and I (along with everyone
else) would be happy to support you fully if you
could improve your practices and services to
better customer satisfaction. Remember, this is
business, not personal.
My final question to you, Marcia, is simply
this: is it really worth it to perpetuate this
kind of resentment (on both sides) when there are
very easy and simple steps you could take to
alleviate the situation? |
