Anime Assault uses only Priority Mail materials
(which is FREE when shipping via Priority Mail).
The last package I received from prop_lady
consisted only of the Priority Mail box, the cel,
and a manila envelope (not worth anything much in
terms of protecting the cel from being bent or
whatever). In the past, you may have been lucky
to find some newspaper to somewhat "cushion" the
cel.
Bottom Line: they're not spending anything on
packaging (except maybe if they got a nice bid on
a certain auction, then they might splurge).
They're not even using cardboard or extra
Priority Mail materials to better protect the cel.
[MY ADVICE #1 TO MARCIA]
I'm not sure how you're going to handle cel
shipments now, once you move back to Canada. All
I can say is that at least you should package
them better (particularly with some type of stiff
backing boards). Then perhaps the "handling" fee
would be justifiable.
Secondly, if $3.50 is too low to cover your
shipping costs per auction, then make sure you
state a shipping cost that reflects what you
require. It's time to be above board with what
you sell and claim, not to create some
controversial miscellaneous fees. |
