On the subject of a "confirmation email"
reguarding recipt of payment and shipment date.
This really depends on a few things; method of
payment, business size / state, etc.
Paying with a credit card or Paypal shouldn't
require any kind of confirmation. You already
know where it went, and in most cases if you want
to check up on the status you can view it
online. Still, it would be nice to get a
confirmation email.
With a check or money order, you SHOULD get a
confirmation email.
I have the opposite practice though. If I had a
CGI tracking system or something to that nature
than it wouldn't be a prob, but I do everything
manually. So in order to lower downtime I cut
corners. Not sending confirmation emails is one
of them. ;) But if anyone wants to know the
status of an order they can always ask.
Guess I could really use an on-line ordering
system. :) HEY YANN!!!! Got any spare CGI
laying around??? :) |
