It's really the only way to get total control over 
your HTML... get a book on how to write basic 
code, and do it yourself.

As for graphics, I favor an archaic version of 
Photoshop (3.0), but that's all down to personal 
taste.  Anything that'll let you crop, resize, and 
change a file type will do just fine.  :)
