My scanner is Microtek V6UPL, it has a scanning 
area of 8.5 x 14 inches.  I bought this one, 
mainly for the cel with background, and the large 
scanning area really helps.  I think it is 
selling for around 100 bucks now.

Microtek V6UPL's earlier model is E3, that one 
works the same way, it works great and durable.  
If you don't mind the old model and software, you 
can get it from EBay for less than 20 bucks, a 
very good bargain.
