I was in a simular situation. I won a fair
amount of money and used some of it to set up an
ebay account and start buying. My first attempt
to buy a cel resulted in the seller cancelling me
because I had no history (over an item that sold
for less than $60 - my budget at that time was
$10,000+)I ended up buying two auctions as a "buy
it now" instead of waiting and very likely paying
a lower price just to get a history with ebay and
prevent another cancellation. Although I am
happy with both the cels and the results, I am
still very angry about being forced into such
tactics. The seller did not even try to contact
me but simply assumed I was dishonest. I admit
that I have never been on the selling end so
maybe I am a little biased. I just know that I
will never do business with that person again, no
matter what they are selling.
This person may be a scammer (it does sound very
suspicious) but I would be careful.
Goodwill/badwill can extend beyond just one sale. |
