You're trying to convert the 3:2 (1.5:1) DVD
aspect ratio to the traditional 4:3 (1.3:1)
aspect ratio. In that case, 640 x 480 would work.
However, for widescreen DVDs, I would not try
that. For those, make sure the ratio is 16:9
(1.78:1).
