Resizing the picture to 640 x 480 will distort
the original image and make the image skinnier
than it should be. For many so-called widescreen
discs, you'll have to manually edit out the black
bars on the top & bottom.
The only problem that Hypersnap has with DVDs are
anamorphic widescreen discs. Due to the way
anamorphic discs are done, Hypersnamp will take
snapshots that are skinnier than normal. For
these, you'll have to manually stretch the image
in a graphics program to 853 x 480.
PowerDVD can take snapshots as well but various
versions always manage to screw up certain
resolutions (like one version can do widescreen
properly but mess up full screen snap shots). |
