they did. they still do MOST of their 
backgrounds by hand however.

so what they've taken to doing, is selling the 
original production backgrounds (at least a 
few of them) and then making ONE OF A KIND 
"presentation" cels from stats of the CG ones 
to match the bg.

so no, they dont have PRODUCTION cels, 
however, they do have backgrounds with 
specially made cels to display with them.

The Little Mermaid was the last disney film to 
have any production cels.
