I agree with JP entirely. Just out-and-out calling 
them junk does not show a lot of respect for your 
feelings. My thinking is that's just step one- he 
or she probably figure they'll wean you off that 
"junk" eventually. My wife likes plenty of things 
I have no interest in, but I certainly believe she 
has a right to like what she wants. Frankly, I'd 
dump this person, because it's just going to get 
worse later. She/He does not have to like cels, 
but by the same token, she/he should be decent 
enough to realize that telling you that is really 
unkind, and fairly ugly. A good partner 
sees the positive, and delights in the fact that 
you are happy.
