Fine, how did you get them?
If you want so badly for people to know the
truth, then tell us.
I'm simply going on info I've gotten over time,
and as a collector that has sold cels but is not
a dealer, I don't know of other ways.
As a collector that's spoken to other dealers, I
don't know of other ways- besides the 3 I listed.
I said what I thought based on what has been true
of other series where the cels popped up for sale
without having been released by a studio.
It's not an outrageous idea, and it's one that
others were probably having, though they were not
inclined to speak up about it.
The original question was, why are AnC cels so
hard to find? and then it seemed to follow--But
there are a few cels, how come those are for sale?
If you don't want to follow the actual thread, I
don't know why you keep posting. You've
obviously stated that your cels aren't stolen, so
if that was what bothered you, all should be well
now.
Perhaps I don't have your vast experience in cel
collecting and dealing, but I'm not ignorant
enough to take every dealer at his or her word.
I've run into many dealers who knew a lot less
about the cels they were carrying than I did.
You've already made some slightly misleading
statements or at least not quite valid
statements, and I can think of another occasion
where you were wrong about something cel-related,
but it's not that big of a deal, people are wrong
sometimes. I was obviously wrong to think your
cels might have been stolen. Your site has some
nice cels. It does seem odd that an animation
studio would sell cels to 2 american dealers and
no japanese dealers- but you say they're not
stolen, so fine.
You're out to help yourself sell cels, that's
fine too. I'm out to help other collectors that
share some of my interests and let them know that
there are some strong possibilities that things
are different than a dealer might lead them to
believe.
I still don't see why you seem so defensive- I'm
not trying to attack you, only help a collector.
Maybe you should try re reading the posts and
look at them from our perspective.
