1. Yes, Madison is a girl's name.  It happens to be the name
of one of my cousins.

2. You do know they are releasing the series to subtitled
DVD in the fall, right?  That one right there is enough to
end all debate about how the televised version turned out.  
It may also be why they've got the hanken mono (the DVD
release will be handled by Pioneer, a company not known for
being a slouch with nice DVD releases).
