Happily, I'm not a huge fan of pencils. ^_^ (no flaming)
Although I probably would like gengas better than dougas, 
I've never owned one. If you want to see some gengas of 
a digital anime, I think Taro still has several from Mamotte. 
I'm pretty sure genga will be "untouched" in all of this.
I suppose one reason why I'm less interested in pencils is 
because it IS EASIER to forge those (a good photocopy!) than 
a cel, which is still forgeable (sp?). The gengas and dougas 
of tomorrow will cost as much as the good quality cels of 
today, perhaps more. [depression]

On the other hand.... The cels we do have now are sort of like 
long-term investments! (Yes, bad way to think of it-) Five 
years down the road, do you have any idea how much your 
collection would be worth? ^_^ (Rhetorical question!!!! Okay, 
stop thinking in those terms....)

As for the other Great Extinctions... ^_^ (Man.. I'm feeling 
old already...) ;_;

I'm not sorry to see VHS go. I love DVD. The entire Tenchi 
OAV DVD boxset in the space of less than two VHS tapes? Yeah!
