I wouldn't redraw the lines directly on the cel itself, I
would make a correction layer. . . Go back to the discussion
about the adult Washu cel (it should be only a couple pages
back in the Forum) to see what I mean.
As for cracking paint. . . Exactly *how* is it cracking? If
there are little cracks in it but the paint is still fully
attached to the acetate, I would take a like colored (but it
wouldn't have to be exact) paint and reinforce the paint on
the cel by putting a litte swipe of new paint over the
cracks (on the back, obviously). If the paint is actually
separating away from the scetate, I would remove the separated
part and repair where the paint is now missing. I haven't
found a feasable way to readhere the original paint to the
acetate once the two have separated.
