well... everyone always says, if you don't like
the price, don't pay it. But unless a large part
of the population ALL decide not to pay for it...
then the prices will stay the same, and you just
wont get the thing you want, while the rest of the
people with looser pocket books do.
With cds though... I think the music industry to
some degree is loosing. if they dont lower their
prices, all the smart people really WONT buy their
cds. and there are alot of us out there.
I have a one word for you.
NAPSTER
and think about the huge ruckous that caused and
how scared the music industry is. I can burn a
whole cd onto mp3 on my computer and put it on
napster, and it immediately spreads across the net
if anyone wants it.
on top of that, I can burn identical copy cds at
comparable quality for my friends if I want to.
(actually, I cant becuase I dont have an mp3
ripper, or a cd burner, but I'm just trying to
illustrate a point)
I think actually the best way to avoid higher
prices in cels is that everyone becomes a lil
smarter, but that's not possible, so there's
nothing you can do, other than, for you yourself
you dont buy that overpriced cel. Noone will
notice that you dont buy it though. the dealer
wont say "oh,.. person number 457 didnt buy my
cel..." becuase they already got 4 other offers to
buy it after they sold it.
It's too bad there arent more dealers, more people
who go to japan, more product would mean, less
demand and not as high prices. |
