Offhand, I'm not sure of the thickness. I would 
say probably what you recommended. Well, since 
I'll be going back to the store very soon for 
more, I'll check. :)

I agree with cutting to size. Since the bags sizes 
I bought were 8 by 10 and too small, they 
shouldn't be hard to cut down. :)
