I've heard a disturbing thing about framing.
Cels are litterally taped to the back of the mat board (with
acid free tape of course). It just bothers me that an
adhesive is applied to a cel, because if you ever want to remove
the cel from the frame, the tape will leave a sticky residue.
I've read this in a Disney framing reccommendation write up,
where they say to tape the top corners of the cel so that the
bottom hangs lose to allow the cel to "breathe".
I custom frame my own and I think I do a pretty good job with
my matrial costs at no more than $20. I use clear photo corners
(acid free of course) to position my cels, so that nothing is
applied directly to them. |
