Um. . . I hate to remind, but there are legitamate cels which do not come with sketches. A missing sketch could have been lost, taken by an animator, sold seperately, held back by the studio, or destroyed. Granted, a sketch is a nice "birth certificate" for a cel, but a sketch could also be forged by someone who knows what they're doing. Perhaps we can just leave it at this. She says she owns it. If you believe her or not really has no bearing on her - she has most likely authenticated the cel herself - and has no bearing on you - it costs you nothing for her to say something is a real cel even if you have doubts. Either way, it really doesn't matter. The only way to completely settle the debate would be to have the cel professionally authenticaed, and there are a lot better uses for money than to simply be able to say "I told you so." I'm not backing either side because I can't without actually seeing, in front of me, both the cel in question and the animation it came from. I'm saying: Let's put it to rest before feelings get hard and people get hurt. . . ^_^ Many Sharp Smiles, --Drac |
